The LTC3225 is a programmable supercapacitor chargers designed to charge two supercapacitors in series to a selectable output voltage (4.8V/5.3V or 4V/4.5V) from 2.8V to 5.5V input with automatic cell balancing. This example uses six supercapacitors in series charged by three LTC3225’s. Voltage supervision is provided by LTC2915 and 1.8V POL is regulated by a LT3740.
